300SD Brake Control Rod Bushing

I finally managed to change the Brake Control Rod Bushing on the driver's side of my '82 300SD. It was seriously annoying. I bought a Meyle Kit and it's weird, the bolt coming out of the bushing won't turn at all. Is it supposed to be like that? I had to press the bushing into the L-Mount after I mounted the bolt so I didn't have to turn it. I have a second Meyle kit for the passenger's side but am wondering if I should buy a Lemfoerder Kit for it since that one also won't turn.

The chassis side / big ball joint part should be stiff to turn for a new part. The connecting rod that goes off towards the lower control arm should be the bit you turn for the caster adjustment (well mostly caster - also effects camber by a small amount too because of the weird triangular shape of the front suspension).

I think common opinion is that Meyle isn't as good as Lemfoerder

I'm not entirely sure if I follow, I am supposed to turn the rod? The rod is not turnable, it's connected to the lower control arm, no? The bit which comes out of the ball joint, the threaded rod is so stiff that I can't turn it. Probably with a very long wrench and a lot of power. I was just wondering if other vendors deliver this part the same way as meyle did.
