Window/Door Rattle

When my driver window is rolled down, and i close the door, the glass sounds like it rattles around inside. It sounds as if the door was slammed hard enough, the window would shatter. With the window up, closing the door sounds solid, as it should. I noticed that when the window is rolled up the last half an inch, the top of the door panel moves out, towards the interior. Is the window not aligned properly, or is the door panel not on right, or is it something else? The door panel rattles slightly when listening to music.
Thanks,
Matt

Oh, I forgot one thing that may be related. The driver's door lock sometimes doesn't unlock all the doors from the inside, such as after I've been driving for a while. The passenger and trunk locks do not unlock the driver's door lock, either. And after I unlock the car from the outside, there is a loud noise from inside the door...sounds like the vacuum, and it lasts for 10 seconds or so. Are these things normal?? Thanks again,
Matt

I have a similar car as mcdill's, with same rattle noise issue when closing the door with window down. Are they all like that by design, or something is loose?

I think it is normal

I have the same door/window situation in my 1995 E320. I figured it was normal.

It can't be normal, as it only occurs with the drivers door. I still haven't found a solution to this problem, as it really isn't high on my priority list. If you do find a solution, please let me know...

The door unlock problem was the drivers door actuator. Fixed and door locks have been working well since. (although I'm sure to jinx myself by saying that.)

I've got the same rattle in my rarely-used front passenger door ...

Wow, seems like a pretty common problem. The scariest for me is when the window is about halfway up...I'm worried it's going to snap in half.

Yep, had that same worry myself (but obviously not to the degree that I've actually done anything about it yet!)
