ML 320 Mod98 crank but wont fire up

please help.
my ml320 model 98 was parked in a very good condition.
the day after i tried to turn it on with no success. new battery, the truck crank very good but it wont fire up. i have no spare key to check if the key code is lost by the DAS or not.
1- how to check if the key is still recognized by the DAS?
2- does the module keeps on sending order to the fuel pump to delivery fuel or not if the DAS lost the key code?
3- does anything is responsible to stop the pump from delivering fuel as the Flying sensor?
4- how to check if the fuel pump is ok or not?
i appreciate your soonest reply.

If you have the smart key - then if it allows the steering to unlock and the key to turn in the receptacle - the key is good and the car recognizes it.

If the engine cranks you don't have a DAS issue. Crank position sensors are a common cause of crank/no start complaints. Keep in mind that a faulty CKP sensor will cause the fuel pump to shut off!

thanks a lot for your quick feedback, i cranked the engine with the fuel pipe loose there is no fuel delivery, the cause was the fuel pump FUSE and RELAY. my car is running again once i replaced them.
once again your effort is much appreciated thank you "Zulfiqar" thank you "ILUVMILS".

Failing fuel pump drawing high current or wiring that's chaffed and rubbing on the chassis.
