Dash Board Replacment

The top of my 560 SL dash has developed some cracks. Has anyone tried a dash replacment? I've seen replacement tops that simply glue over the original...has anyone tried this and if so, did it look OEM?

Richard1,

I haven't seen a dash cap that didn't look like a "cover up" .
If your cracks haven't gone too far from the windshield, you might try what I did - ordered a dashmat in black from Blue Ribbon, layed on the dash, marked it to the lip of the top face on the dash and trimmed it back and silicone glued it down. It does give it that 'factory' look. Blue Ribbon is the only one I've seen that makes a clean looking mat. 1-800-874-8888 Or if you live anywhere near Orlando I'll give you a dash cap ***FREE*******
