Wet seatbelt

This happened the first time back in early 2010, not too many months after buying the car. We had gone on a weekend trip and the car sat outside while we were staying at a lodge and it rained through the night. Got inside it to take off the next morning and the passenger seatbelt was soaked! Windows were closed right. Sunroof was shut tight.

Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. My wife had driven it someplace for the day and it sat in a parking lot where it, yep, rained. It happened then too! Wet passenger seatbelt. It's not like the car never gets wet from a rain! Anyone have this experience or any insight? Thanks.

Seems I read someplace that the sunroof drain(s) can be clogged and cause this. Am I dreaming or is this really true?

yes the drains run down the pillars close to where the seatbelts are attached. is the presented part of the belt wet or is it wet when you begin to pull it out?

It seemed mostly from the part hidden. (I wasn't there when it happened so I'm going by what wifey says!) Said that she thinks it was actually a little wet even near the top of the belt where it comes out of the pillar. So, this may be a clogged drain yes? If so, are the drains obvious up there?

Open the sunroof, you can see the front drain holes if you look at the two front corners. You also can see the drain holes on the undercarriage. About 1.5 cm diameter

i've used compressed air but you have to be careful not to blow the tube off the nipple in the tray.....i.e. go lightly with the air at first
