Aside from following the recommended 15K adjustment intervals, how do you know when to adjust the valves? What are the signs that you need to adjust the valves? Just picked up this '83 300SD, starts right up, so the valves must be to spec. right? Thanks.

Get the valve adjustment done when purchasing a 300SD then every 15K. If you don't do it, you might burn an exhaust valve.
