93 190e how to get ac hoses off compressor

I can't seem to find enough room to get the 6mm hex head bolt loose on the manifold of compressor. I have the compressor loose but can't pull it down far enough to loosen hex bolt. There's a panel next to the compressor that if removed looks like it might give me room. Any tips or tricks to get that bolt out?
Thanks.

Are you going at it from the bottom or the top? I found it easier to get it from the top, but I stripped mine, so I had to use the Irwin stripped bolt removal tool. It was the 11mm socket that has the teeth inside. I was able to get the bolt off in no time. You have to undo the PS pump hose and get the socket over the bolt and tap it on slightly. Once I got it off, I replaced the hex with a regular 13 mm bolt and a few washers so it would be easier next time

Thanks. I'll try removing the power steering hose. That might do the trick. Will ps fluid go everwhere?

Siphon out as much as you can from the reservoir. Put a pan under the bottom to catch the remaining drops. Only the upper most hose had to be removed.

Hey thanks!! Worked great and I didn't even strip the 6mm bolt. I'm still going to replace it with a regular head bolt like you said in case I have to take it off again.

I suggest the 13mm bolt from the intake manifold holding the manifold to the head. It's a perfect fit. Just get one from a junk yard. I usually will go to the junk yard and take various nuts and bolts, fuses and relays, and minor trim pieces like window switches, and plastic seat switch parts, the plastic door locks, etc. I keep the nuts, bolts, springs, in a box I call the toy box so if I'm working and happen to strip something I can easily replace it. Same with fuses and relays and the trim pieces are always help, especially the failed window switches. Glad you were able to get the hose off. Be sure to replace all the o-rings while your system is empty.
