95 e300d auxiliary water pump relay

Back in 2009, I replaced the aux water pump (duovalve) in my 95. Worked great until last week. Now I have hot air from the side vents and cold a/c from the center vents.

I don't know how long these valves are supposed to last, but the one in there worked fine for 6 1/2 summers without a hitch.

I've seen a lot of threads here and in the Diesel Discussion forum about replacing the auxiliary water pump (duovalve), but none mentioning the aux water pump relay.

Would a failed relay cause the same condition as a failed aux water pump (hot air from side vents and cold air from center vents)?

Can anyone tell me if the aux water pump relay is a match for any of the other relays in the car because I'd like to swap them out.

Any advice is appreciated.
