1999 E320 Transmission question

Folks,

I just replaced my Conductor Plate, Connector, trans filter (Mann Kit). After pouring in 4 quarts, I am not reading anything on the new dipstick purchased from Pelican as well... even after GOING THROUGH GEARS MULTIPLE TIMES.( Febi Bilstein Note: Use and remove, do not leave in the vehicle, This Tool may be longer than the Dipstick Tube, if so, insert it until it bottoms out, and check the fluid level. (1999 Mercedes-Benz E320 4Matic Sedan). I did not drain the torque converter. Also, the car is in limp mode and will be until I get the code reset.

I am seeing weeping out right side of the pan so I hesitate pouring more fluid in.

3 questions...any issues w Mann pan gasket seals? Any general rule of thumb for how much fluid to start with? what is the recommended torque for the 6 pan bolts? Any insight is appreciates

You should see some fluid by now. The dipstick does need to go in until it bottoms, which I think is actually the thicker part (about 2" up from the point) hitting a constriction. The point doesn't actually bottom on the pan. Maybe try rotating the dipstick as you insert it.
The torque is very low, like 8 nm, so don't overtighten until you get the right spec (which I don't have).
