Klima Relay Jump (Bridge)

Why has this been done on so many 123s? Certainly a $100 part is a small price to pay for a fuse box fire?

Anyway, my wagon project has it, clear as day. Two greenies twisted together. I have the relay and will soon re solder the wire to the pin. Has anyone ever done an in-line fuse instead of rewiring/soldering the fuse box terminals?

I've got a new compressor that wants to work, but its noisy and I've popped the (14?) fuse a couple of times running it. At this point, there's too much work done to f it up with someone else's short cut.

Thanks all - any comments on why this was done, fixes etc most welcome!

Scott
