2008 w211 4matic engine mounts
I am a bit confused with the description in the tech article for replacing engine mounts in the 2008 e350 4matic. First, the right side which involves removal of the alternator is straight forward. The left side appears to be a bit more difficult but the article does not specifically note the e350 4matic. If I have to remove the front axle for the left side, is there a procedure for this?
On first inspection of the left side engine mount it is visible from the top although I will admit that the clearance for removal looks to be a bit tricky. Am I missing something for this overall procedure to remove and replace both engine mounts? Thanks |

The best thing to do would probably be to acquire the official service disc for the W211 from a dealer and review the repair procedures within that....
