Question W140 Turning Problem???

When I make a sharp turn at very slow speeds from a stop, it feels as if the front wheels slip for a split second; almost like I hit a patch of ice. I'm not sure if this is part of the steering design where the front wheels shift so a sharper turn can be made, or if I have a front end problem. Any ideas?

have the suspension check components, chassis components, and steering components reviewed by a competent tech

the suspension does have pieces designed to wear
