Hi,
I need to see if someone has a 1977 450sl that they can check the actual vacuum connections to the engine and tell me what is connected to each.
I have the diagram, but actual connection points for what actually needs to be connected to what port are still a bit vague. That and a previous owner decided to make up their own vacuum routing so I don't trust any of the existing connections to be correct.
Here is a picture of the ports I need to know what is connected to. I circled them in red and also have one that I marked the line and then went to dotted lines ending in an X to indicate a vacuum line that runs under the larger hose and connects below that large hose way down deep in the intake manifold.
So you know where you are looking from, the front of the car would be to the left of the picture and the connections are just in front of the fuel injection air inlet.
As you can see, the upper (in the picture) circled hose is a Y type connector with lines coming off of it. Unsure if this type connector is even correct so don't be put off by that if yours is different.
Here is a better picture of what that particular connection/line looks like. Please disregard the circled thermal vacuum valve that is circled in this picture.
Any help would be appreciated.
