R107 -Drain P/S Fluid from bolt on bottom of steering box?

Is that the right place? I think you have to turn it to lock. Can someone confirm?

Steve;
If I ever replace that fluid, I always remove the return hose at the pump, direct it into a container (old milk jug would be large enough), then start the engine and turn the whhel lock to lock. The return line is the one which is secured with a hose clamp. The pressure line is the one with the crimped on connector.

Thank you Gilly.

That sounds like the way to go but is the bolt a drain plug? Why not use that one? If you can, please let me know. I won't do the job until the middle of next week.

Steve, I believe what you are looking at is a bolt that would be removed to insert a centering tool. The tool holds the steering box in a wheels-centered position when installing the steering gear box, when you connect the steering shaft to the box with the steering wheel centered.
