Dropped Valve Saftey Check?

Hello all,


Just finished up doing the timing chain (and lifters, and ps pump rebuild, and...) on my 1986 560SEL.


While all the timing marks align perfectly and the engine rotates by hand very smoothly, I did experience a bit of chain slippage on the passenger side cam while re-installing the followers / rocker arms which I corrected.

But it has left me wondering is there is any sort of test I can do before I fire her up to check to see if I managed to dislodge a valve against a piston by “tripping” the keepers while it was out of alignment?
