brake master cylinder-'95 s500

for fear of doing any damage i stopped trying to take off the cap to my master cylinder.i want to bleed the lines and change rotors/pads(up front).does anybody have any helpful advice on bleeding?also,it seems that in order to take off my mas.cyl. cap i will need to take off the leafscreen or whatever you callthat thing that lets the air through into the car as it sits directly above the mas.cyl. is there an easy way to get the cap off?thanks

m.tangas says to remove cap i should just unscrew it.however to get at it with the leafscreen in the way i tried channel lock pliers and stop for fear of doing any damage when it didn't budge.do i take the leafscreen off, turn clock/counter wise.this seems like it should be ridiculously easy and so murphy's law is in play.HELP!
