whats the difference between the two, can someone clarify please. somewhere read that SEL has xtra 6 inches behind front seats?

err.. well if it's a 500SEL rather than 500SE (same model year), the SEL is a long wheelbase version (hence the L)... so has something like an extra 6 inches.
The later models are S500, and S500L (again, long wheelbase version).
