Hi there,
Long time reader, First time poster
I'm trying to get my 1982 300TD to pass inspection. I just got word back from the inspection shop that there is only one issue. They wrote down "
right rear lower control arm forward bushing" needs to be replaced.
The inspectors aren't the type of people I can ask alot of questions of over the phone. I asked for clarification and he said "You'll see it once you have it up on a lift and shake the wheel back and forth". I have a small workshop 2 hours outside of where I live in Philadelphia. I work on the car there about every two weeks. Since I am not there I can't just go visually hunting down the bad bushing he was talking about.
I'm not sure where the "right rear lower control arm forward bushing". More specifically, I'm not sure which bushing it is Maybe I just can't find the exact location because I have knowledge but lack experience so I am searching on the internet/repair manuals wrong.
Also, will have have to compress the spring to replace the bushing?
Guidance, photos, link to parts, whatever. School me please!
Thanks in advance.
