I hope this will make ECU Tech sit up and take notice.

They really need an email address you can correspond on instead of the Veh: Model:Year: they have on their web site.

I told CCC I am happy to pay for ECU if it turns up. They said we have to wait for ECU Tech to show that the item was delivered to me or not.

If the ECU turns up, Capitol One will repay them if I confirm delivery.

Don't think you can be fairer than that.

You did what I would have done.

Item was not delivered, you would think for the cost it would have gone with full tracking and signature confirmation.

GOOD NEWS:
Found the errant ECU ! FEDEX delivered to the local post office. I checked with them 3 times this week to be told there is nothing for me.

Friday at 3pm I went one more time. this time asking to have them check the returns trolley and any other storage areas..... Low and behold...ECU package in a FEDEX Next Day delivery box ! It had a tracking number but I never was given it...and I didn't have to sign for it...

Had three other packages too, but they came through usual USPS channels.
Seems someone in the P/O was not aware FEDEX delivers to the P/O if you use the P/O physical address, it not being a miss placed package.

I have already called the CCC and told them delivery complete. They have to go through their channels which involves ECU Tech contacting them! I told CCC to pay the $675.00 but they say ECU Tech has to claim it first (?)

So, lets see after all this if the S500 ECU now allows the engine to start....got to do some more electrical short checking first.....still don't really know why the 60 Amp floor board fuse blew.

Nov 25th 2016 UPDATE :

Engine runs.

Even after most bad parts replaced and repaired car would not start until I cleared the shifter code !

Found that the right front SAM was faulty. Now right headlight works.

Also relay for suspension faulty on replacement SAM (Used. ). Replaced it and suspension fully functional.

Battery was bad. Only surface charge after off car charging..... replaced with a Interstate Mega-Tron.

Alternator bad. Low amp output and high a/c ripple, possible bad battery overloaded it (?)

Replacement ECU functions just fine..... reported P0303 and P0300 after a few start ups. icarsoft killed the codes. ( Old gas ?)

All this was due to owner using a pressure wash !

So all in all appears we have a FIX.

MB built a saturated electronic CAN/BUSS reliant car that has no waterproofing for many of it's sensitive components ( Left and right SAMs.) and the "married to vehicle' nature of all components that allow start/run. Ignition fob to electronic ignition switch to shifter to transmission TCM and finally to the ECU. ...and codes, break, failure of any in their chain cause a 'Denied Start.' including if battery voltage drops below 10.9 vdc during cranking.

Engine 'may' crank and start but ABA, SRS, TCM, BAS, SAS, all go into default...fail..radio may loose presets too.

The passenger foot well fuse block is particularly subject to water/damp induced failure as it lives under the front foot well carpet and the starter and alternator links are next to naked through the body floor..... with just a poor aluminum shield to protect against splash soaking.
