Any recommendations for semi-metallic brake pads for 19967 C280 Sport? Mintex pads don't fit! What others are out there?

J,
The factory O.E. pads are semi-metallic, most good independant shops can get several different brands of O.E. quality pads. Are you thinking of RACING like SOLO 2? I've never felt any fade from the brakes on this type of Benz! ------------------ MERCEDES BENZ MASTER GUILD TECHNICIAN ASE MASTER TECHNICIAN 27 YEARS M.B. TECH |

The only people that ever complain about their mercedes brakes are the ones who have gone to non-stock pads or something similar. The only real way to improve on one Mercedes brakes is to put bigger mercedes brakes on that model. AMG and other tuners usually raid the MB parts bin or use something from Brembo. (who is an OEM supplier) What is your complaint with the stock setup? I agree with MB DOC, the only time I have seen MB brakes fade is when the car is fitted with dust shields. I've also heard of aftermarket metallic pads chewing up rotors as fast as pads.(not to mention the obligatory screeeeeeee noises) Just a thought....Lee
