Angry 1995 E320 dtc help, and trans problems

I just bought a 1995 with almost 200,000 miles on it. I went to smog test and failed. Pulled codes 2,3,5, and 10. I made the blink tester and was able to get codes off pins 6 and 14 that I'm not to concerned with. However I can't pull any codes from pin 7 and my air is out. The LED just stays on. I don't have a pin 8 at all. And pin 16 is a ground. I know on the California models 3 is got so that's what I ended up using. Also on pin 14 I had a hard time pulling codes. I had to use 6 as my ground for that one and sometimes it's got sometimes it's negative.

I started this thing thinking change an o2 sensor and do something about the EGR. Now I can't test pin 8 to tell what o2 sensor is bad. I found out about the wiring problems and sure enough about half of my wiring is the old wiring. I can see bare wire on some wires that look to be running to the o2 sensor, but they were red with black stripes. Ground right? I checked some connectors to make sure they were good and now I have code 3 popping and one about a got wire grounded to the mass air flow.

My EGR valve is good. The tube is fine. Maybe a small leak. I'm not getting a vaxume from the switch. I'm just going to take the EGR off, make sure that it is not somehow stuck half way open, and delete it. I'm thinking if I make sure it is open and the engine is getting air from it rather than the intake during smog I should be good. Any ideas on what the problem is or if this plan will work? I want to delete it anyway.

I don't have a multimeter. I know a low voltage Tech without a multimeter is funny. So I can't check pins to see what is going on and I can't check voltage from the o2s to see if they are good or from the o2s to the computer.

Also I am having transmission problems. I had an upstart delay error that went away but I think it has something to do with it. Know how to disable the upstart delay crap? The problem happens when the car hasn't warmed up yet mostly and only in first gear. It runs sluggish, sometimes slips, and often goes in and out feels like you are running out of gas. I put some stop leak in it but still have issues.

I'm pretty good at figuring stuff out, but this is getting a little overwhelming. I've been reading until I can't read anymore. Someone help me! I'm spending 100 a week on gas and it should only cost 40
