No Crank/ no start

My 1993 300E met with a fender bender that resulted in the deployment of passenger side airbag. While I have replaced most of the damaged parts, the starter is not working. I have checked the starter by using X27 to find out if the problem was upstream. The starter was verified as good. It appears to be upstream. Fuse 5 has 12+ volts. How to test NSS and verify that it is bad? Any advise on where to go from this point. Does the deployment of passenger side airbag inhibits it from starting and what should be done to make the car start and run. Would appreciate your advise or direction to resolve the starter issue.

Can someone tell me how to trouble shoot and also to replace Neutral Safety Switch on 1993 300E 2.8L?

NSS info can easily be found here using SEARCH function.

Online diagnosis is a shot in the dark. 2 more things to consider:

- ignition...switch?
