w201 Master Cylinder Replacement with ABS?
The master cylinder came with two hoses/fittings and two threaded hex sockets for bench bleeding. The MC has three ports, one is for ABS. I can't seem to find any clear articles that explain how to install and bleed the MC with ABS.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

Ive never done anything special. I just install the m/c and bleed the system from rear right first, to left front.

Or is he talking about bench bleeding?

I believe I got it figured out. The original has only two ports. The one I got from the auto parts store is more generic so has an extra port you block off.

Here is the original. It only let me attach one file. Well I think the image is too big. But it becomes obvious when you compare the two.

During bench bleeding is it normal to have signs if fluid in the pushrod? It returns shiny like it has fluid on it.

Just the thinnest of films. If it looks like anything you would suspect as being a leak - like something that will form a drop at any time - the seal is bad and I would replace the MC.
