W210 and W202 Door lock not connected. This is how to fix it. E320, E300, C280, C220

So, I just bungled through this with the help of several members and thought I would start new thread that could be searched and used by others.

Basically, my door lock turned with no resistance.

I got a bunch of help from the people on this forum.

But the best thing was this video. Basically it shows how to do the whole thing.
It shows how to remove the lock without losing the screw into the oblivion behind the door panel.
And how to fabricate your own pin if yours is Broken.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPvn2cMkVno

Once I pulled mine I found that my pin was broken off about 3/4 of the way So I had no old pin to use for reference.
And No... I could not find the remnant of the old pin.
So here's how I figured out how long it should be.
I took a screen snapshot of from the video around minute 4.
Then I scaled the image down so it matched up with the center skirt around my broken pin.
Then I traced the image through a piece of paper on my computer screen.
The rest was just finding a bolt and grinding and drilling a hole and cotter pinning it.
Check it out.

Special thanks to Hogweed for technical and moral support.
