After shutting off the ignition, the engine continues to run. I have to push the STOP lever to stop the engine. Someone told me I have to replace some GasPot because it is not holding any vacuum. Is this true and if it is, is it easy enough for me to do it?

Thanks in advance

When you shut the car off there is a vacuum operated switch that sends vacuum to a vacuum element on the injection pump. Sounds like you need to have the vacuum system tested. Replacement of the shut-off element on the injection pump isn't a simple job!!

If you do decide to do this yourself, be more than careful!! If this is done incorrectly, it can cause the engine to run away from you and hit the rev limiter. I have seen this happen and it took all I had to move the tech working on the car and get the engine stopped!!!!
