i own a 2000 clk 430 with 38k miles. car runs on premium gas, air filters recently changed, and i am driving down the road and the car just cuts off like it ran out of gas. i called for a tow truck waited about 5 -10 min. it starts again. went about a mile and it died. the car turns over and all of the electrical functions work. even the dash states no malfunction. if you have had this problem or any suggestions please email me at jmotl@tampabay.rr.com. thank you and i greatly appreciate it

Best guess is a crank sensor, but fuel supply also can be a problem. Turns out either can keep it dead without setting any fault codes.

Thank you for your response. Any idea how much this may cost if your suggestion is correct? Is this a simple fix?
