Is there anything special I should know about changing the oil myself on a '99 CLK 320? And can I really go 10k between changes? I'm assuming that changing the filter merely involves unscrewing the filter and changing the element. Also, is there a reset tool?

Look in your owners' manual and it will have the outline of how to reset the FSS counter manually. There is no trick to the oil change..
