How do you remove wire pins from connector?
I'm trying to diagnose electrical problems on my car and I need to disconnect individual wires from the circuit. How do you remove the terminal end of a wire from the connector? They are held in there with a springclip mechanism. With most other manufacturers you insert a pin or small screwdriver to release the terminal from the connector. Where is the magic spot to release the spring clip so I can remove the wire with its terminal. I don't want to cut wires.

Which connector is this? In the W124, most connectors open or split apart then the wires and pins/sockets just come out. Sometimes before you want them to.

the fancy way is a pin removal tool but unless you do this a lot, it's a bit pricey.
there are different diameters. works like a syringe. so far, i've rooted around the garage for a suitable metal straw and occasionally luck out. p.s. oh sorry, I only referenced the round pin connector tool. there are flat ones in the pictures/link, too

I'm concerned with the bladed connectors used on body connections.

If you are mentioning of the flat pin connectors and you see 2 angled blades in the female side then you need a two pronged tool to dislodge them, some may have a retention plate on the back of the connector to remove first.
They are found on a lot of VW and BMW too, I bought a tool for this but its somewhere buried in the pile of junk that used to be called my garage. In the beginning I used two safety pins taped together to make a "farmer" version of this tool and it worked too.

How do you work it?... stick a wire down behind each flat from the connection side? I think I already tried that. There's no retention plate.
