The shiny silver disc that covers the centre spindle of the fuel/oil pressure etc gauge has dropped off. It appears that it was glued on and the glue has now 'dried up'. The disc is now rolling around the bottom of the gauge getting in the way of the 'economy' needle.
Is there a way of removing only the front of the instrument cluster without having to remove the steering wheel and take out the whole unit? The procedure to remove the actual gauge once the cluster is out is outlined in the chassis manual but I am reluctant to remove the (non airbag)steering wheel. Please, any ideas would be appreciated!!! |
