Question Transmission 717.411 bearing =?

Please help. I can't figure out where I can find a replacement tapper bearing for my MT. I think it says Timken 00059 Made in England but is hard to read and Timken catalog does not have this size... measures about 13.5ID, 38.1ODmm. Tried other bearing website catalogs but also failed. Went to local MBZ dealer and they could not match it to the diagram (came up as Needle Bearing or as a much Larger Tapper Bearing that would not fit). Can someone please help me find the right replacement and/or MBZ part number for this on my 717.411 transmission?

M:

Can you determine if there is a separate outer race pressed into the main drive gear, or if the ID of the main drive is ground to form the race?
There were a few applications of the Borg Warner/Tremec T-5 that had a similar tapered bearing at that point ("Cobra Pocket Bearing"). All the other T-5s had a bearing setup that matches the Getrag explosion (needle roller + radial needle thrust bearings).
There is a chance, albeit a very remote one, that the T-5 tapered bearing would match.

Check with this vendor, they should be able to give you dimensions:

Just so you know, those transmissions share many parts with the 4 speed 716.21. all aluminum. I have some literature that can help with the rebuild if you wish.

Frank,
I called Astroperformance and left a message to call me back.

Chris,
Yes anything that can help to find the right part number for a replacement bearing would be a great help!
