211, changing front air struts...

I checked out a few videos on this. It looks quite simple.

But what size wrenches are required? Do I really need to pop loose the upper ball joint before this will come out?

I need to know the size of the ball joint nut, the size of the bolts and nuts that hold the bottom of it to the lower A-arm/control arm and the size of the nuts that hold the top of it to the fender.

Is the nut that secures the upper ball joint a normal castle nut with a cotter pin through it? Or something different?

I have the tool that will pop the ball joint out. It looks like a normal tool for that sort of thing.

Any info or tips will be helpful.

top strut nuts are 13mm, upper ball joint 17mm, lower shock I believe 27mm or 24mm, pull cables out of stay, unclip wire connector by lifting upper clip away =lift , after cable disconnected from connector, use a small screw driver to release center "leg"

Thanks. I currently have all of those tools so I am fixed up.

There is nothing like getting the car jacked up, ready to repair, and then finding out a trip to Menard's is needed to pick up something you need. Where I live this would be a trip of a few hours just for one thing.

Thanks again.
