Need help finding vacuum element 0008008775

Need help finding vacuum element 0008008775!
All the sources I have tried come up empty.
There is one on ebay, partscontainer, they show 2 but when I ordered it they rejected it saying its not available anymore.
I tried a few dealers and none to be had in the USA or Germany. Ebay, amazon, google, No stock.

Is this one of the round elements? I went through the same thing about a year and a half ago. I ended up ordering a different vacuum pod of a similar size and taking it apart to get the rubber diaphragm out. The diaphragm was the same size as the one in the bad pod, so I just swapped it in.

No, I wish it was. Its the double oval one.
The guys on partscontainer.com REALLY got me in a BIG jam now.
I looked up all the elements and ordered all of them. My dash is off. Again.
All the other parts are being shipped and can't be returned.
Even George Murphy www.perfanalysis.com can't help on that one

Gotcha, I was nearly in the same boat. You might want to check this guy out:

Vacuum Advance Repair

I think I even emailed the guy and asked if he could fix the pod and he seemed open to trying it but then I realized I could just cannibalize a pod with a different part number.

Where are you located? The 0008008775 Defrost Vacuum element I purchased in late 2011 was from my indy parts guy.

New Jersey.
The part you have from 2011 was a used part or new?

Yes, I had to replace the old one due to a vacuum leak causing the water valve to open and had heat coming out of the side vents.

I had to replace that one on my 190D a few years back. Try MBOEMPARTS dot com.

The W201 was built for 10 years and almost 1.9 million of them made.
This really ( censored ) stinks I can't get this major part when all the other ones are available.
The only long shot I have after talking to the dealer, again, is to put one on order and it *might* go on a list. If such list gets long enough MB *might* make a production run.
There is no way for them to tell me how long that may take .... and ....... it's not refundable once ordered.
Ridiculous.
