Multiple Codes: p0153, p0160, p1519
1997 Mercedes S500 threw three codes. Changed both sensors in bank 2 but the check engine light came back on...any ideas? Thanks.

Please post the Mercedes code descriptions, this is vital in solving problems.

Sorry. P0153 Slow response for oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 1, P0160 No response for oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 2, P1519 Right adjustable camshaft timing solenoid. I had noted that the P1519 code can be about replacing a broken oxygen sensor. Since the sensor 2 was a no response thought this may be the problem. Had the two oxygen sensors replaced, but the check engine light reappeared within a day.

You need to rescan and pull the post part change codes. Be aware that there are mandated standardized codes and manufacturer defined codes so having a Mercedes specific code list is vital.
Check the O2 wiring harness to the computer for damage as well. |
