W-126('88 420SEL) A/C question
Gentlemen (and Ladies):
My A/C blows fairly cool, and blower now is strong. However.... I have been noticing that I am not getting any water drip under the car. I find this strange. I'm concerned. Could this just be a clogged drip hose, as I had not been using the A/C at all until just recently? (Debris, etc.) Or: Could it be a malfunctioning evaportator? What would you suggest I troubleshoot for simply, before I go the extreme of just buying and installing a new evaporator? Thanks. |

If it's blowing cold then the evaporator is doing it's job.
There has to be humidity in the air for the AC to extract it and expel it as a drip. Try poking the drip tube under the car with a stiff wire to see if that clears up the drain path. Sixto 91 300SE 87 300SDL |
