Oil change on 2014 E350 wagon......
Hi guys - I've changed my own oil on the '94 wagon, the '99 Turbo diesel and the '95 E300 Diesel. So I thought I would try changing it myself on the 2014 E350 wagon with 85,000 miles on it and in need of an oil change.
1. My filter housing cap from the '94 job fit perfectly so getting the cap off was no problem. 2. I bought the filter from a MB dealer so it the proper one with the check valve on it 3. my topsider oil vacuum unit fit down the dip stick tube but it did feel a little tight at the very end but it went a long way down. 4. when the can starting coughing like it does when all the oil is out the reservoir felt light. I feel like it left something in there as it only took 5 quarts of new oil and I think it is suppose to take 6.5 quarts? ideas? is a topsider appropriate fro this car?
