What has failed to be mentioned here is that your A/C system already has dye in it. You had stated that it has been converted to 134A and that you noticed greed fluid on the side of your transmission. A lot of compressor oils come with the dye already added to them.
Use a UV light and shine it on the suspect area. If it glows then you have a leak in the suspect area. You can also confirm this with an electronic leak detector. Carefully insert the sensor tip into the evaporator drain tube. If the A/C has leaked enough to stain your transmission then the detector should have no problem picking up the 134A. I would recommend you stay away from any kind of sealant for your A/C. It's not worth risking ruining your A/C compressor IMO. HTH

As a professional I wouldnt ever use that %^%^$& called cryoseal. I have 2 customers that will tell you its the worst mistake they have ever made. It cost them double due to the system failures, ( compressor). That stuff is worse than adding air to the system. Sorry I knock it so bad , but I had to go behind and try to flush that garbage out of their cars and it took forever to get it right again. Just a warning in advance.

thats why I am skeptical. I read up about it, and the only way I would use it is if they gave me a guarantee it will not mess anything up. That being said, they don't list prices, so I assume its still a few hundred for the sealing kit.
I'd rather repair it right the first time. Alon

124 evaps aint too bad to do. The last one I did took me about 6 hours but, I had to handle the trim with kid gloves as it was dry and brittle. If you do tackle this yourself place the mounting hardware for each part with the part and lay things out in the order of removal. (the roof covered in a blanket is great for this) This way you dont have to bactrack and you get the right skrews in the right holes.
134 oil (pag) is nasty stuff, I wear latex gloves while handling oil soaked parts. Be sure to test the elements while your there, if you find one leaking, nut up and replace all of them. I like the BEHR evaps as well, reasonable price, super fit and good quality. Joe
