W124 coupe and sedan seats
Does anyone know if the W124 coupe and sedan front seat covers are interchangeable?
Thanks.

I tried this once. I had a 124 coupe with early leather. Found leather covers from a sedan at the JY. The backrest cover for the coupe is cut differently at the bottom where the backrest meet the seat cushion. Armrests for coupe and sedans are different also. You may have to make some new holes here and there.
I made it work but it's better than a ripped seat. |

I've got a spare set of seats for my 94 cab, from a late coupe. Bad leather, but wanted spare frames. Also have a nice seat from a 94 sedan in matching leather.
I recall my W114 coupe had a lower cushion that was shaped differently than the sedans. Specifically, the side skirts were shorter on the coupe seat. That is, the distance between the top horizontal part of the lower cover was closer to the frame on the coupe seats. Last time I compared the W124 seats, it appeared that the two door seats also had a lower cushion. The center section that you sit on looked similar, possible to cut out that and resew into coupe seat. Jim
