Question Cleaning a 560 SL idle control valve

Hi My 1986 560 is running rough and slightly high idle, bit of hesitation on acceleration. 157K mileage.

Just did the plugs, wiring, distributor cap and rotor. I have read many posts today about IDLE Mine is about 900RPM.

The valve motor itself passes the voltage 4.65 and ohm 4ohm test.

Cleaning seems to be a possibility. Replacement also. Would like to try and clean it. How is that done?
Thanks Jack
