I had my water pump go in October and the car overheated. The head gasket was fine until now and it's at the shop. I'm thinking that when it overheated the head gasket was weakened and took this long to fail.
My question is what else should I have the dealer do with the head off? The car has 100k mi and hasn't had a major service since 75k. Also what should I expect to pay? The dealer is talking in the $1400 range but I haven't got a firm quote yet. TIA B l a i n e |
