I also just put it in my 1979 280CE today. At first it wasn't very cold(only 59-60), I checked the pressure again, it was 45PSI, so I let some out and got the pressures down to 35PSI and my vent temps are 42-45 going down the road, and 50-60 at idle. Better than R134a
