94 e320 timing mark question
Doing a head gasket on my 94 and when I took the head the cams were timed the way they’re soppose to but the crank I’m not too sure about. Does it show 10 degrees after Tdc? How do I read the timing mark. It seems like the notch on the crank should line up in the circle

no the circle is for a sensor and not for reading crank angle
currently your crank is about 7.5 degrees AFTER TDC the outside side of the notch that curves down is where you read the crank angle OT stands for TDC Last edited by Usaguy; 09-30-2019 at 10:23 PM. |

Ok so if inline up the crank at tdc.. cams lined up, timing chain on. Rotate things a few times. Now I’m about 7 degrees before tdc. Chain is worn out probably?
