2005 w211 e500 windshield washer question

edit: i think it wasn't working was because the hood was up.....my helper figured it out (see picture)

so i have two 2005 e500's and i'm putting one together to drive and will either part or sell the other.

the washer on the one does not work. the washer on the other one does.
after reading that there is no fuse for this (apparently, the washer extracts power from the same circuit as the wiper system), i figured i would swap the pumps.

as you may guess the working pump doesn't work when installed in the other car......

can anyone confirm there is no fuse or provide any insight into this issue?

as mentioned the washer res on these cars isn't exactly accessible, in the routine sense; however i have the fender off for repair purposes so it isn't as bad

thx in advance
