my MB mechanic left me a note that my car needs: injectors belt tensioner, and hardy disc. what do these do?
also, when slowing down or at stop light, car stalls. EGR microswitch already replaced. idle speed control valve also R&R.
pls help.

The most common cause of stalling w/slowing down & stopping is the air flow sensor, also the overvoltage relay can cause this type of problem.

I had this same problem the other day on a 300E and the CIS-E control unit connector was full of water...Go figure.

It will be very difficult for a non tech to repair driveability problems. I suggest a good tech.

Nothing wrong with working on cars for a living, both the overvoltage & the CIS computer are located behind a plastic cover behind the battery.
Never heard the term "hardy disc", maybe flex-disc. They are the Mercedes version of a U-Joint.
