The other night driving home at 3am in my 2001 s500 the front wheels felt like they were missing....the check engine light which is on for the map sensor....started blinking on and off....and I’m hearing crazy knocking....fast fwd to next day....I call my local Indy...ask if he’s busy and drive like 13 miles to his shop at 45-55 mph...knocking the whole way....

Put the car up on a lift....he found a blown oil line....

Question is....what’s the prevailing opinion on possible damage?
