W124 V8 big brake upgrade rubbing issue

Hey guys, just thought I would share because I didn’t find anyone else touch on this issue when I decided to do the brake upgrade.
My car, a 89 260e had the stock single piston front calipers, but my local yard had a V8 car so I decided I might as well snag the front calipers off it.
Doing some reading I found that lower ball joint will have a clearance issue, but someone said you can trim the shield and I did and this solved that issue.
Rotors spun smooth, it was a nice easy bolt on upgrade.
The problem I ran in to was when I went put my wheels back on. My car has the stock 15” wheels and when I would torque the wheels the wheel was unmovable.
I loosened the lugs until it started to spin, and rotated the wheel so see where is was getting hung up at.
Looks like the face of the caliper hits the inside of the wheel.
Bummer for me Because if I would have know of this issue I would have had some 5-10mm spacers to help clear it so my daily driver would still be driveable. My plan is to get monoblocks wheels so I’m not to worried about it right now, but just thought I would share this finding for the next guy or gal
