Anything else that should be looked at? Timing chain? Car has 89,000 miles all highway.

If the oil has been getting changed I would leave the chain alone. Inspect and replace the chain guides as necessary but again, if the oil has been changed you can probably keep running them for awhile. Make sure you "rod" out the egr tube while you are in there. You will find the majority of the deposits at the intake end of the egr pipe. That should pretty well do it.

I've read several times here from Stevebfl, Benzmac and others that the inline-6 timing chains really don't need to be replaced. They are very short and don't stretch very much.
