The delayed upshifts from second and third progressed quickly today to rattling at engine rpm (torque converter?) and no upshifts from second. The other transmission functions work properly. There is some sort of silt in the fluid but it isn't discolored and it doesn't smell burned.

If you've had good luck with someone who sells remanufactured or rebuilt units, please let me know. I want to compare prices of replacing with repairing.

check the dealer prices. they usually run about 1800.00 & have a 2 yr or 24000 mile warranty. They are rebuilt in germany.If there is a problem you just drive it into the dealer & they will fix it for free. As long as you have the original reciept.
