Yes assuming that the engine is original to the car, I'm sure someone on here has a link to a decoder

Your "Datenkarte" in one of the owners manuals should have the engine number in it.

The engine number is stamped on the block behind the drivers side cylinder head close to the flywheel

Stamped into the top of the cylinder block, behind the left hand cylinder head.
