Can i adjust this?

My 89 420sel has 169,ooomi. I do not know if the po's had any work done on the trans. It shifts rough mostly when cold then it gets a little better when it warms up.Is there an adjustment that i can do? If so what, and where can i find it.

If you do a search, you will find plenty of info on transmission adjustments.

-Good luck

TRY ADJUSTING THE VACUUM MODULATOR ON THE TRANSMISSION. TURN THE ADJUSTER OUT FOR A SOFTER SHIFT, BUT NOT TO SOFT.

IT SHOULD BE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TRANS. IT SHOULD BE COLORED WITH A VACUUM LINE COMING OUT OF IT. REMOVE THE LITTLE BLACK CAP, PULL OUT THE SILVER "T" BAR SO IT PASSES THE PART IT IS LOCKED INTO & TURN COUNTER CLOCKWISE TO ALLOW MORE VACUUM. ADJUST AS NEEDED BUT DON'T MAKE IT TO SOFT OR IT WILL SLIP.
