I don’t think so. I have a 93 w/3.2 and it’s all the same parts as my 94&95

93-95 is hfm
90-91 is k-jet
92 depends on the model

Most of these issues seem very fixable. Probably wnat to make sure the head gasket and wiring harness have been replaced... The rest seems very doable.
I wouldn't dismiss a nice W124 with the M103. When sorted out, it's dead reliable and easy to maintain.

Kjet can be a pain to sort out, took me a good year and a lot of money, but I knew it was a basket case from the start. That's why I said look for a well sorted one and you should be fine.

assuming proper oil change/filter services, and the head gasket is replaced. How many miles should a m104 last? I have my 617 that besides a replaced head gasket, has around 350k and still going strong.

My M103 has 320k miles and my My 104 had 360K miles. Both ran very, very well, the M103 still does, the M104 needed a head gasket and I didn't have the resources at the time to do it, got rid of the car.

I love my w124 with the OM602. Has no problem cruising at 80 or higher. I also did the wastegate actuator conversion from vacuum to pressure controlled.
